SAFREA Chronicle
It is almost midwinter, as anyone can see, by looking out the window onto frosty landscapes, or feel, once you set a foot out of bed. We are one week shy of our winter solstice, and everyone is likely engulfing health supplements to keep the colds and flu (even the Dreaded One) at bay. So here is something to warm you up with a wide variety of thoughts, entertainment, 'medical advice', and insight.

Time Off: What we will be watching this week:

The start of this semi-documentary will have to leaping up to search the cupboards for something sweet, but after a while you will swear off sugar forever. This buddy-ish Australian doccie sees a health-nut decide to change his diet to processed and packaged foods that contain hidden sugar. The lavish production includes cameos by Hugh Jackman and Stephen Fry, but its message will shock you, as it means to do. And - seeing that we are now thinking of a healthier way of life (well, aren't you?) - it might convince you to patronise more frequently the fresh-produce aisle of your supermarket.
