SAFREA Chronicle
Another very varied week, and another very varied newsletter. I am not even going to start to describe the wide variety of topics that Safreans deal with today, but you can rest assured that they are never boring! Enjoy.

Fargo-FX
What to watch this week: Fargo, the FX TV series
The 1996 film Fargo was nominated for six Oscars and won two, it has also been entered into the cinematic Hall of Fame for seminal movies. But the critics are now saying that the television series Fargo (FX, Amazon Prime) is even better.
Despite the legend at the beginning, that Fargo is a true story, it is not. It is so outrageous it could not possibly be true, and the director gets round this by saying that it 'could be true'.
But, true or not, it is a rivetting piece of dark comedy, with elements of both classic tragedy and classic farce.
Each season (there are four) deal with different characters, different time spans, and different places, with sly references to other times, places and characters in other series. One could almost call it genre-bending, and one could look for parallels in other classic works. Or one could simply enjoy it as a kick-ass piece of entertainment.

Besides this being a massive task to be taken up by many international conservation and scientific institutions, my opinion is that it is practically impossible to repair or remake nature to any semblance of its original state

The Beauty of the Lyrics and the Music of ‘Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of’ by U2

The Beauty of the Lyrics and the Music of ‘Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out Of’ by U2
Bono, Paul David Hewson, of U2 fame wrote the lyrics to this song in response to his heart-felt misery for his friend Michael Hutchence, singer of INXS music group, who died in 1997.
The music for the song ‘Stuck in a Moment and You Can’t Get Out Of ’, was composed by the U2 band members Adam Clayton, Dave Evans, Larry Mullen, and Paul Hewson (Bono). The music of the song is beautiful, and it enhances the mood and the emotional feeling expressed by the lyrics.
