Message from the Editor:
A combination of pandemic fatigue, vaccinations, and a smidgeon of herd immunity is allowing the world to open up. With the UK's infamous Red List being amended, South Africans can travel. With a rising number of vaccinations, more people can get together. In three weeks, we have elections. And then the summer holidays.
While life will most likely never get back to normal, a semblance of ordinariness can return. What life is going to look like this time next year is still anyone's guess.
But in the meantime you can look forward to entertaining, insightful and off-beat contributions from the Chronicle.
Enjoy.
