More suicide awareness needed
The World Health Organisation says at least 800 000 people die from suicide annually. There are fears the suicide rate will increase due to the COVID-19 fallout. Addressing suicide starts with prioritising mental health wellness, and raising awareness, something most African governments are falling short of.
