Everything! This is the bit people usually obsess over when starting something new. As it happens, I didn’t.
What I’m about to say is unlikely to shock you.
In 2018, we hit the point of “content shock”; i.e. the moment when more content is published each day than there are humans alive to consume it.
Valuable advice regarding how we can set about overcoming some of the accountability issues in South Africa.
If you’re reading this and you’re a creative, odds are you’ve seen a couple of bad briefs in your time — as in, “I dunno. Maybe make it blue? No, a less-blue blue.”

The City of Tshwane, under mayor Randall Williams, issued a press statement this week about the R4billion worth of corruption under the previous ANC-led government that was now being uncovered by the current DA-led administration. In the statement, he made specific reference to the now-notorious Yellow Plant tender – a R100 million-a-month bonanza for corrupt officials and their relatives. But the report that revealed the tender irregularities also revealed some uncomfortable truths about the Tshwane Metro, and gave an indication how long it was going to take to get the municipality straightened out.
Democratic South Africa was, for a while, the Rainbow Nation. It is now the Mis-Appropriation Nation, as the government has become a criminal enterprise bent on extracting the last cent of loot from an over-burdened population. The tide might be turning, but it will take a long time.
Children’s books and poetry have a lot to teach us, as adult content marketers, about what works and what doesn’t.
They take a lot of research and a LOT of brain power. They may be small, but they can’t be dashed off in an hour, or in the shower.
